Jobber Receptionist
Jobber says Receptionist answers calls and texts 24/7, books visits, takes requests, takes messages, and escalates to you when needed (Jobber). Details from its product page and help center:
- Booking: it can book a visit during the call using the online booking settings you already set up in Jobber, or create a work request for you to quote (Jobber).
- Escalation: you choose keywords such as "burst pipe" or "no heat," and it transfers the caller or sends you a text alert (Jobber).
- Control: you can turn it on separately for calls and texts, for example after hours only, and choose which actions it can do automatically; for actions you leave off, it asks before acting (Jobber, help center).
- Your number: Jobber says you keep your existing number by forwarding calls, either after hours or after a set number of rings. Receptionist and two-way texting need a Jobber dedicated phone number (Jobber, help center).
- Hang-ups: it can text back callers who hang up (Jobber).
- Try before you buy: Jobber publishes demo lines you can call to hear it, 737-388-0043 (US) and 587-209-4367 (Canada) (Jobber).
- Price: listed as a $29/mo add-on and included in the Plus plan (Jobber pricing).
Receptionist is one piece of what Jobber calls Jobber AI, which also includes AI Chat, Voice commands in the mobile app, a Rewrite tool for client messages, suggested automations, and a custom report builder (Jobber AI).

Workiz Genius Answering
- Channels: calls, texts, emails, website forms, and lead sources (Workiz).

What to check before you forward your phone
- Which software you already run. All three work best inside their own platform because they read your services, schedule, and client list from it.
- Booking limits. Start with "take a request" instead of "book automatically" until you trust it. Jobber lets you choose which actions are automatic (Jobber help).
- Escalation words. Write down the situations you always want to handle yourself, like commercial accounts or emergencies.
- Call it yourself. Jobber has public demo numbers. For the others, ask for a demo during the free trial.
- Read the transcripts weekly for the first month and fix wrong answers about prices or service areas.
